Let’s Get Going!
Why Do Kids Hate School So Much? What Goes Wrong?
Here, I’ve compiled some of the most dramatic reasons why kids hate school so much and what goes wrong with them.
Imagine being a parent who is bearing expeses for their kids and for their schools. Schools often happy meal to students as a lunch in the school to cultivate a healthy environment. But… What if someone doesn’t like the taste of the meal?
That’s a common reason why kids start ignoring going to school. And as a good and careful parent, you should investigate: why do kids hate school food, to know what goes wrong.
Children like to wear brighter, shinier, and different colors from others, and uniforms bind them to wear the exact same thing for the whole year. Maybe that’s the answer to the question: why do kids hate school uniforms?, to want to express their uniqueness.
Somehow, their offense is personal, and they should have their offense. WHY? If they have to skip uniforms in colleges and universities, then why they should wear it in schools?
A childish brain 🧠 always want to fulfill the goals it has. In this case, not going to school is what kids’ brains wanted. They would surely be succeed if the school demands a physical presence of students, but online schools doesn’t demand such things.
Students are bound to take classes, whether they’re at home or anywhere else. Maybe that is the reason and answer to the question: why do kids hate online school? Further, online portals, like WakeID and the RMS student portal, made it more common for teachers to bind students.
Why do kids hate summer school? That’s not a difficult question to answer. Summer breaks come in the academic years for students to enjoy the Summer season to spend some quality time with family. And when you force them to join summer schools, then they hate it.
In addition, when the breaks come to an end, till then they’ve managed things out and figured out how to survive because of good friends. Later or soon, they have to continue their studies and have to join schools again, that probably the answer to the question: why do kids hate going back to school?
19% of students aged 12-18 were victims of bullying in schools in the United States in 2010-11 reports. That’s also a big reason why kids hate school, because they don’t get a suitable environment there to express themselves.
I suggest that you report immediately to the authorities if you are aware that your kids are victims of bullying. Further, if your kid is a bully, then you should take action on this too to make others and your kid safe.
Not everyone is Einstein 🤓, and not everyone is here to become one. Go easy. When students don’t get good grades on tests and can’t understand something in natural science, then they are weak in their studies, in my personal opinion.
This is the God who gives someone to be good at maths to get angles, like 90 and 45. On the other hand, someone is good at science because they know how to find theoretical yield. Your kids will surely have a specific skill as well, which is not used in schools, maybe that’s why they hate schools.
Being overwhelmed at school as a kid may be normal because every student is going through this stage. That stage has different causes, like study burden, social anxiety, emotional things, and peer pressure can be notable ones.
You, as a careful parent, should help them understand that this is a part of life, and they don’t have to worry about it because with the passing time, they will comprehend how things work and how they can manage.
As a human, you are not psychologically designed to live alone or do things on your own forever. But you need a good friend who believes in you and motivates you to do things that scare you. In schools, not having friends becomes a major cause of a lack of engagement.
When your kids don’t have good friends, they try to keep themselves preserved and stop themselves from doing engaging things. That’s why you should encourage them to have friends at school so they don’t regret going back to school after summer break.
Personally, I don’t feel that tests are boring, and schools shouldn’t conduct exams. Although I appreciate schools conducting exams and students should try hard to get good grades on the tests. But a recommendation that schools should consider is to change the grading system.
Low grade students feel useless and become an easy target for bad habits that should be discussed. However, students should understand that it’s just their phobia that prevents them from performing well in exams and nothing else from becoming successful.
Lastly, the homework. That’s my personal reason why I used to hate schools, because I wanted to spend some free time playing games. Although that’s for my own personal development, as a kid who has such a pearl of wisdom 🤓?
Teachers used to give a lot of homework that made me feel bored, which is why I personally consider school boring, except for math concepts 🌰.
